Britt and I met back in 2005 and have been best friends for 15 years. I remember being silly little middle schoolers and playing around with my camera and having “photoshoots” for fun. Fast forward to 2020 and I now have the pleasure of helping her capture photos for her and her husband Raphael. Working with them hit me in ALL the feels. Despite having to postpone their wedding ceremony multiple times in 2020, and working as front-line medical personel during the pandemic, the love they have for each other is apparant. You can see the love glowing from their faces. ✨
Growing up in Carlsbad all my life, I surprisginly hadn't spent much time at the Batiquitos Lagoon, so when Britt suggested this location for the photoshoot I decided to go scout it out beforehand. Immediately upon arriving at the trail head, I knew this was going to be so dreamy during sunset. I love the muted colors of the wild grasses and brush, and the glistening of the lagoon during Golden Hour.
